Looking for game testing jobs? So are thousands of other people who have heard you can get paid for sitting around at home doing what you love most. Yes, I’m still talking about playing video games.
What’s the attraction? Well, you love playing video games. We already established that. You like the idea of working from home. Who wouldn’t You also like getting paid for something you enjoy. Of course. So what are the downsides? Not many to be frank.
You will sometimes need to play test games that you wouldn’t normally choose to play. You will often have to test games to destruction which means doing an action over and over again to make sure it functions as expected with no glitches.
You will also need to keep notes of what you are doing and what the results are. Game developers will be paying you good money to do this testing, so you need to give them something more in return other than a yeah, it played ok response at the end of the assignment. If you do, they certainly won’t be looking to use your services again.
But, let’s face it. Those are pretty minor downsides, right? At the end of the day, if you’re a 16 year old student looking to make some cash over the holidays or an older game player who just wants to make some extra cash to pay the bills, or get yourself that latest gadget, game testing jobs are an extremely enjoyable and satisfying way to earn a reasonable living.
I need to stop playing video games. I just threw my controller across the room into the wall.
Hi Frubreusede,
So glad you like the blog. This is coming out of my real life experience in
working from home. I have been working from home for 13 years, in other
businesses and finally found one that is good for me, personally. I have
and am still learing the and – the good and the bad- but it is
a determination in me, and what it takes. Enjoy the blog- comments,
ideas are appreciated!
