Sports Party Games Go, Team, Go

A Sports party theme for a birthday party or special event or holiday can include sports like football, baseball, tennis, soccer, the possibilities are endless Here are some general fun party games to play at a sports themed party. Your little athlete or cheerleader will love to play this game at a sports-themed party. The leader of the cheer will think of the name of a sport, sports equipment, famous athlete, etc. They will shout the first letter to the other players in this style: “Gimme an A” The other players will shout “A” The leader will continue to spell the word in this way. The first player to correctly guess what is being spelled will become the leader. Naturally another sports party game will involve one or more actual sports. Instead of playing full games of football, baseball, basketball, and soccer, try this obstacle course that incorporates all of his or her favorite sports. You will need balls of different types, plastic orange cones or other boundary markers, a basket or hoop, and a stopwatch. Divide the partygoers into two teams. The first person on the team will take a basketball and dribble to the first cone. They will stand at the cone and try to “shoot” the ball into the basket or hoop (placed a few feet away.) Next, they will pick up the soccer ball and use their feet to guide it around the next cone. At that cone, they will need to grab the football and throw it to the next person in line. Stop the stopwatch. Reset the course and continue the stopwatch. When both teams have finished, the course, the team with the lowest time wins

nice to hear, Jay. He seems well spoken and informed enough as a commentator and I know graduating from BYU LS is no small intellectual feat. Tell him love to have him as a guest on the next zeitcast if so inclined. (Though, admittedly, like, uh, asking a world famous athlete and superstar if he wants to in some juvenile, parochial podcast — and one that mildly made fun of him to boot!)]]>
