Reading allowed me to feel her joy, pain, turmoil and anxiety – all the while shedding light on the extent of choice and control offered by the interactive media of today.
I think the fact that Anda had the to have choice and control beyond the normal decisions of how to dress your avatar, what mission to play or where to travel within the game, says a lot about the nature of interactive video games of today. Anda was given the to make choices and had control over an ethical situation that was affecting the lives of real children. In this I see the line between reality and true reality beginning to fade.
